Shiv Tandav Stotram is a Sanskrit hymn that praises Lord Shiva, the destroyer of evil and the supreme god of Shaivism. It was composed by Ravana, the king of Lanka and a great devotee of Shiva, who wanted to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The hymn describes the beauty, power and grace of Shiva, who performs the cosmic dance of Tandava, which creates and destroys the universe. The hymn has 17 verses, each with 16 syllables, and uses various poetic devices such as alliteration, onomatopoeia and imagery.

Jata Kata Hans Bhram is the first verse of Shiv Tandav Stotram, which praises Lord Shiva’s matted hair, where the river Ganga flows, his snake garland, his drum sound and his fierce dance. The verse expresses Ravana’s admiration and devotion for Shiva, who is the source of all auspiciousness.

शिव तांडव स्तोत्रम एक संस्कृत भजन है जो बुराई के विनाशक और शैव धर्म के सर्वोच्च देवता भगवान शिव की स्तुति करता है। इसकी रचना लंका के राजा और शिव के महान भक्त रावण ने की थी, जो जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्ति पाना चाहता था। भजन में शिव की सुंदरता, शक्ति और कृपा का वर्णन किया गया है, जो तांडव का लौकिक नृत्य करते हैं, जो ब्रह्मांड का निर्माण और विनाश करता है। भजन में 17 छंद हैं, प्रत्येक में 16 शब्दांश हैं, और अनुप्रास, ओनोमेटोपोइया और कल्पना जैसे विभिन्न काव्य उपकरणों का उपयोग किया गया है।

जटा काटा हंस भ्रम शिव तांडव स्तोत्रम का पहला छंद है, जिसमें भगवान शिव के उलझे हुए बालों, जहां गंगा नदी बहती है, उनकी सर्प माला, उनके ढोल की ध्वनि और उनके उग्र नृत्य की प्रशंसा की गई है। यह श्लोक शिव के प्रति रावण की प्रशंसा और भक्ति को व्यक्त करता है, जो सभी शुभताओं का स्रोत है।
